I tried to make a time-lapse but i don't think it turned out so good 😛 The camera moved during cause it was over a couple days and the battery also died at one point! The art is unfinished and spotty cause I did some of it off camera (when it died on me!! 😣) and it's just kinda blargh!! But I still think I'll try and do more in the future probably 😊 it's all a learning experience right? I modelled a 3D Chompton for @chompton_ 's #chompetition ! It's nearly over!! #chompton is such a cool character and I had a lot of fun modelling this Lil guy. My entry for Chomps art #chompetition ! There's still time to get involved, and there are some outrageously amazing entries so far so head over to @chompton_ and check those out. Chompton is a little outerspace robot, skate keyboard riding, hip hop munchkin from the future! His diet consists of little vegetable like peas and little carrots, and when he can't find those he survives off leaves from the fig tree. He lives in a planet that is half jungle and half barren desert land, where BIG monster Chomptons live and chase him to try and steal his sound effects box, which is pretty much his body. All the Chomptons are related but they don't all get along. His favourite friends are Funkypunk and Moogie Baby. I had so much fun doing this painting of Chompton! Or a more organic female version of Chompton anyway. Bonbon, Ghosty and Not Eric! The bubbles gang had them surrounded on all sides. Bonbon was lost in the recesses of his mind, playing a mental game of tiddlywinks against hybrid creatures, believing if he could win in his imagination, maybe he could transform that success into real life. But he was losing. By a lot. Ghostys' fur stood on end as the bubblybubbles drew closer, knowing they had only moments left. He tried desperately to summon courage that had long abandoned him. In these final moments he wished he hadn't locked his heart away, he pondered his many regrets in life, and in death. Not Eric let out a deafening wail. The sort of noise you might imagine a worm might make if it was huge and could make some sort of noise, as worms are generally silent beings. A sound as if the worm was being slowly buried under a large water balloon, trapping it so it felt like it would never escape and could likely die under this constantly growing cold blob of liquid and it didn't like that one little bit. A sort of anti-battlecry. That kind of wail. The three of them huddled together as those unrelenting bubbles enclosed around them, popping, exploding, and showering them with an unknown substance that worried ghosty. For every bubble that gave it's life another would immediately take its place, as the mass of bubblybubbles continued their assault. The three friends braced themselves as their decreasing unbubbled space shrank to nothing, and the bubbles claimed another three victims. If only I could have won a single mind game against those dang fishdogs, thought Bonbon.. If only I could have been braver, just once, regretted Ghosty.. Greenguy! I don't know if anyone remembers but this was the first character I fully 3D modelled and rigged and animated with. I will always love him to bits! I learnt so much about 3D animation from him and now I'm in my 3rd goshdarn year at uni and working on my thesis film and I don't know where the time went!
